Tesla spoiling car culture?

Image
The new Tesla Model S plaid is released. The company CEO Elon Musk claimed that It is the quickest accelerating production car and it can accelerate from 0-60 in 1.9s . He also added that "No production car has ever done 0-60 mph in under 2.0 seconds. ". Which made so much hype in between Tesla fanboys and car folks, and also created suspicion among Car Nerds. As mentioned in the previous blog, a performance of a car is limited by tires at this stage. This means even with a million horsepower that the maximum time a road vehicle can attain 0 to 100kmph is 1.98s (Michelin Sport Tires). But no car according to European standards has done achieved an under 2 performance because of some dynamic reason (tire lag, gear shifts). But Tesla obviously doesn't have gear shifts and they have instant torque to wheels as well, which is kinda reasonable to believe that it is possible in an electric car Even then there were so many concerns about this 2s barrier. Will Tesla be the first...

Science Behind DONUTS

In the entire automobile machine, the only part that is in contact with the road is the tires. Tires have a significant role in the performance of vehicles. In fact, the most limiting factor in the performance of most sports cars is tires. In this blog, We are going to look into how tire affects the performance and the role of grip in tires. DEFINITELY, THEY HELP US DO DONUTS. LET US SEE HOW.   The grip is basically a bonding force that binds the tire compound with the road.No surface in the earth is perfectly smooth. So when this imperfection in the surfaces locks together, there comes a phenomenon called surface adhesion. More the surface adhesion more the grip. Elements like rubber, which is elastic in nature come in handy with creating a good amount of grip with the road. Because the elastic nature of the rubber tends the material to flex with the surface( road ) and lock even better with the surface, creating more grip. The term grip can be expressed with the alternative...
